Allied Propane can deliver when you need a delivery

Here at Allied Propane we are all about making our customer’s lives easier and more convenient. That is partially why we have instituted certain services such as automatic propane deliveries, tank monitoring, budget pay and paperless billing. It all comes down to us wanting to help you.

We also want to help you be smarter and more strategic when it comes to your propane usage and your fuel deliveries. That is why Allied Propane has put together the below tips and suggestions that will help you maximize your propane’s efficiency.

Ways to get the most out of your propane appliances

Good news – if you are already using propane to power appliances and equipment around your Northern California home or business you already have a massive leg up in terms of efficiency. That is because propane-powered appliances tend to be more effective and work more efficiently than their electric counterparts.

However, if you are looking to maximize this efficiency even more you can:

• Utilize natural sunlight alongside your propane-powered heating system on a sunny winter day by leaving your blinds and curtains open to boost the temperature a little bit.
• Put time and energy into properly maintaining and caring for your propane-powered appliances.
• Regularly have your propane-powered appliances serviced and inspected by a professional.

Maximizing your propane deliveries

Here are some tips when it comes to making your fuel deliveries more efficient and smooth for all parties involved:

• Unlock your gates: If there are gates on your property make sure they are unlocked, especially if you are not going to be home or available at the time of your scheduled fuel delivery.
• Make sure your tank is accessible: Clean the path leading up to your propane tank so that delivery professionals have direct and easy access.
• Indicate your tank’s location: This is particularly important if you have an underground propane tank so that it can be located in the event of a snowstorm or something similar. Use a flag or a pole to mark your tank’s location.
• Keep any animals indoors: In an effort to keep delivery personnel safe it is best to keep your pets in a secured area that is far away from where your fuel delivery is taking place. Alternatively, you can simply keep them indoors.

When you should place your next propane order

Trust us when we say that no one wants to run out of propane. Depending on what exactly you use the fuel for this puts you in jeopardy of not having heat or warm water or not being able to use your grill, stove top, space heater or forklift.

Therefore you should contact your propane provider when your tank hits the 20% mark to place your next fuel order. This should give you enough time to coordinate a delivery without having to worry about running out of fuel entirely.

If you really don’t want to have to worry about running out of fuel and don’t want to have to remember to schedule your next delivery here are a couple of ways Allied Propane can help.

We offer an automatic delivery service where we arrange your next propane delivery for you based on your previous fuel usage.

Our automatic delivery customers can also opt in for our propane tank monitoring services. A propane tank monitor is a device that connects to your propane tank, tracks your fuel levels in real time and then sends that information directly to Allied Propane. We then schedule your next delivery accordingly.
